4pk Black Silicone Carbide Stripping Disc 4-1/2" with 5/8-11 Threaded Arbors for Angle Grinders

These disks worked great for stripping paint off our trailer and frame. Id say it was about average for longevity and the 4-pack was super helpful. Easily fit our angle grinder, they did the job perfectly!

I threw one of these on my 4" cordless grinder and went after the rust on my dad's gate, it whipped that rust off in no time leaving me with nice clean bare metal. I have plans to use this on my truck along the wheel well where the paint is starting to bubble from rust. I have every confidence this will take off the paint and underlying rust, without removing good metal. I love these over flap discs for just that reason. When working on thin metal like cars, you need to keep as much good steel as possible and just strip off the paint and rust. This 4 pack should last me quite a long time.

I used this and it performed so much better than my wire wheel. It removed painted and buffed out scarred metal easily. I will definitely buy more of these.

Upfront disclosure: I received this item through the Amazon Vine program for review.Paint stripping is just not fun. Solvents work well but the best ones always manage to give me chemical burns even when I am wearing all the right PPE (still trying to figure out how that happens, when I am so well covered). Sanding works but can be a bit slow at times. These discs fit onto my angle grinder and with a dust shroud on it that is connected to my wet/dry vacuum (necessary if you don't want paint dust everywhere) they quickly strip off the paint on my concrete and brick walls. I do recommend wearing respirator mask to prevent breathing in the dust that makes it past the dust shroud and vacuum. These have become my go to for paint prep. I love them and will buy more of them. They just work so nicely.

These blacks stripping disks do a good job of quickly removing paint and rust from steel. Use them to prep metal before I paint it. It sometimes leaves what looks like a thin plastic residue on the metal if I work it too hard. That easily comes off with solvent or a little rubbing.
